The MAHRC began as a working coalition in 1998. Representatives of the human rights and relations commissions throughout the state's cities and towns, and representatives of human rights related agencies and programs meet once a month to support our individual missions and to discuss current human rights issues and events affecting our communities.
The MAHRC is also involved in developing and facilitating statewide trainings and workshops the focus of which reflects the Associations' mission. Some past programs are listed under Services & Assistance.
The MAHRC meets the second Friday of every month in Medford MA. We meet from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. The Association will occasionally meet in other locations in order to accommodate communities in the western and southern parts of the state. Our meetings are open, and we welcome visitors and interested parties.
